The Las Patronas Spirit of Giving Award was instituted in 2003 to salute the strong partnerships that help Las Patronas fulfill its mission to aid
San Diego’s nonprofit community.

For 2010, the recipient of this award is Randy Cutting and Abbey Party Rents in recognition only of their financial contribution to the Jewel Ball’s bottom line, but also for their commitment to making the Jewel Ball the wonderful event it is with countless hours of contributed services through almost two decades of our work together.

In fact, the 2011 Jewel Ball will mark the twentieth anniversary of the strong working relationship between Las Patronas and Abbey Party Rents. Cutting bought the Abbey Party Rents company in August 1990, and by the following Jewel Ball in 1991, he was an integral part of the team, supplying rental equipment and partyware at special rates and with extensive donations-in-kind to help Las Patronas achieve its fundraising goals.

Las Patronas presented the award at its annual Beneficiary Luncheon in January 2011, the day we presented funds to all our major beneficiaries. And since Abbey Party Rents has played an enormous role in our success, it is only fitting that Randy be there to share the experience.  We are happy to honor Randy's creativity, his good nature and his continual Spirit of Giving!
